Rationalization of Minor Irrigation Statistics (RMIS)

This scheme is to conduct census of Minor Irrigation Works & Water Bodies and is 100 % Central Assistant provided by the Centre to the State. For the implementation of the Scheme, the Ministry of Jal Shakti, DoWR, RD&GR, GoI has sanctioned Six posts in the Statistical Cell WRD to be manned by Statistical personnel on deputation in coordination with the Water Resources Department.

     The Department has successfully completed 5 (Five) Census with reference year 1986-87, 1993-94, 2000-01, 2006-07 and 2013-14. The 6^th Minor Irrigation Census (6^th MIC) and Census of Water Bodies (1^st CWBs) with reference year 2017-18 was carried out in the State. The Department has successfully completed the field works and online data entry of the 6^th MIC & 1^st CWBs.
